Some STL/SLA printers tend to run into trouble if meshes contain lots of long, skinny facets. These can slow the printer's slicing process down, it can produce odd printed results, and risk running the printer out of memory. While these commands are of somewhat limited utility individually, they are useful in the hands of a skilled operator when tuning up meshes for STL/SLA printing.
