ExtrudeCrv

Creates a surface or solid by driving a curve in a straight line perpendicular to the construction plane.

Note: Unlike Lofts and Sweeps, the initial orientation of the profile curve or surface is maintained through the extrusion.

Steps:

  1. Select a curve.

  2. Pick a distance.

SubCurve

Extrude a curve the distance specified by picking two points along a curve.

Note: The extruded surface starts from the beginning of the curve, not the first picked point. Picking the points only establishes the extrusion distance.

Steps:

  1. Select the path curve.

  2. Pick a start along the path curve.

  3. Pick an end along the path curve.

Creates a surface or solid by extruding a curve to a tapered polysurface.

Note: Unlike Lofts and Sweeps, the initial orientation of the profile curve or surface is maintained through the extrusion.

Fin

Creates a surface by extruding a curve on a surface, normal to the surface.

Steps:

  1. Select a curve on the surface.

  2. Select the surface.

  3. Pick a location on the curve for a height.

  4. Pick a location to set another height, or press Enter if the surface should be uniform in height.

Slab

Offsets a curve, extrudes and caps the result to create a solid.

Steps:

  1. Select a curve.

Note: The Slab command uses the construction plane in the view where you pick the offset as the ground plane. The Slab command offsets the curve to create a base for the slab and then extrudes the base to make a solid with mitered corners.

  2. Pick a distance.

  3. Pick the height.
